About Us

Georgetown Therapy opened in 1998. Robert Wood, PT, owner, had already been serving the rehabilitation needs of Georgetown and the surrounding areas since 1984. Opening an outpatient private practice has allowed Robert to fully devote his energies and expertise to those patients requiring physical therapy, wellness, and personal training services.
His close relationship with area physicians and his civic work within the community are assets that enhance the quality of care you receive at Georgetown Therapy. The confidence you will have with our facility's services can be attributed to our dedication in staff training, state-of-the-art equipment, quality assurance reviews, continuing education, and the ongoing passion of our staff to provide you, our patient and customer, with only the best...!
Whether you are 18 or 81, we can help you with pre-surgeries, post surgeries, injuries, balance problems, painful necks, backs, shoulders, hands, legs, knees, or feet.
We use manual therapy, exercises, activities, electric-stimulation, ultra sound, and a variety of other treatments.
Our clinical staff are experts in conducting a thorough assessment of your problem. In consultation with your physician, we will design a personal plan of care to help you regain your maximum performance.
An at-home personal exercise program is established during your first visit. With each following visit, the clinical staff will observe your ability to follow the exercise program and then adjust the program as you regain strength and movement in your daily functions.
